About the Ride for Heart Event

I will be taking part in the 27th annual Ride for Heart event on Sunday, June 1st, 2014. With 14,000 riders, the Ride for Heart is Canada's biggest cycling event, taking place on Toronto's Gardiner Expressway and Don Valley Parkway. I plan to ride 50km across Toronto with a personal fundraising goal of at least $500. This will be my 7th consecutive ride.

About the Heart and Stroke Foundation

Every 7 minutes, someone in Canada dies from heart disease and stroke. Nine in 10 Canadians have at least one risk factor for heart disease and stroke. Let's change that though research, disease prevention, and promoting patient recovery.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation is Canada's leading funder of heart and stroke research, as well as providing crucial education and advocacy for heart and stroke survivors.

About the Climb for Cancer Event

The 5th annual Climb for Cancer rock climbing competition takes place on Saturday, May 24th, 2014 at True North Climbing in Downsview Park. My team ("Acrophobes Anonymous") will attempt to beat other teams for the highest distance climbed throughout the 4 hour marathon. You can help by donating, as every dollar raised gives us a bonus of 2 feet.
